Marla Del Angel's love for makeup began as a young girl. Mesmerized by her mother's beauty routine, time seemed to stand still as the beauty transformation unfolded right before her eyes. As a child, she would take what she absorbed and attempt to recreate the looks on her dolls using markers, crayons and nail polish. Life would never be the same. Her passion has fueled a successful career as a makeup and hair artist in the fashion and entertainment industry. Marla has trained amongst Laura Mercier, Patti Dubroff and Ricky Wilson. She lends her artistry to cutting edge editorials, commercials, runways and her loyal clients. Dedication to her craft, along with her outgoing personality and natural ability to make anyone who sits in her chair feel like a life long friend have awarded her an amazing client list including Alexa Chung, Amber Heard, George Clinton, Jodi Watley, Lupe Fiasco, Robert Plant and ZZ Top. Marla's work has graced the pages of Vogue, Allure, Lucky, Self, and CS Brides. She loves the energy and excitement found backstage and has created looks for Vera Wang, Monique Lhuillier, Michael Kors, Dior and Rag&Bone.
Marla understands the importance of giving back to the community and has donated her services to charities including Flashes of Hope and Dress for Success. Marla has been a guest speaker at Chicago Public Schools to mentor teenage girls on inner beauty along with basic and age appropriate beauty routines. She feels blessed to be able to share her love and knowledge for hair and makeup with the world. Marla is represented by FACTOR Artists.
